Clinical research has demonstrated that L-Citrulline supplementation can improve muscular endurance by up to 52.92% and reduce muscle soreness by 40%[2].
2,000mg Citrulline Nitrate
This advanced form not only contributes an additional 1,400 mg of citrulline—bringing the total citrulline content to 10,400 mg—but also supplies 600 mg of dietary nitrates. The nitrate component further promotes vasodilation via the nitrate–nitrite–NO pathway, complementing the effects of L-Citrulline for enhanced vascularity and nutrient delivery[4].
Why This Dual Approach?
Optimised Nitric Oxide Production
Both components work in tandem to amplify NO synthesis. Pure L-Citrulline efficiently converts to L-Arginine, while the nitrates from Citrulline Nitrate provide an alternative pathway to increase NO levels. This dual mechanism results in enhanced blood flow, improved muscle pump, and superior endurance.
Enhanced Efficacy Over L-Citrulline Malate
While many formulations use L-Citrulline Malate, the malate component is often added simply to inflate the apparent dose of citrulline without forming a true chemical bond, thereby diluting the efficacy of the ingredient. In contrast, VASO-DIAL’s combination of pure L-Citrulline and Citrulline Nitrate ensures that you receive highly bioavailable citrulline along with the potent benefits of nitrates.
Dosing Insights
Scientific literature suggests that the minimum effective dose of pure L-Citrulline is approximately 3,000 mg, with doses up to 10,000 mg showing maximal benefits[3]. VASO-DIAL meets this threshold by delivering just over 10,000 mg of total citrulline content, ensuring you receive a robust dosage for optimal performance and vascular support.
RedNite® (Beetroot Extract) vs. Citrulline Nitrate
RedNite® is marketed as being high in nitrates and therefore fuelling the nitrate-nitrite-nitric oxide pathway, the same pathway as Citrulline Nitrate. RedNite® is standardised to 1.5% nitrates so in a dosage of 2,000mg you’ll receive 30mg nitrates. This contrasts with a 2,000mg dose of Citrulline Nitrate which yields 600mg nitrates – 20x the nitrate content.
The effects of nitrates on nitric oxide production are vast so we opted for an ingredient choice with an efficacious dose of nitrates rather than settling for marketing hype in RedNite®.
Glycerol (Glycersize®) – 4,000mg
Proper hydration is pivotal for optimal performance. Glycerol, integrated as Glycersize®, is pivotal in maintaining hydration, extending the 'hyper-hydration' effect on cellular levels, thereby bolstering endurance and enhancing both aerobic and anaerobic capacities.
The drop in osmolarity from drinking lots of water but not taking Glycerol causes your body to remove most of this excess water via the kidneys, so by taking Glycerol you can extend the duration this water is inside of your body and utilise the full hydration you get.
Glycerol has been shown to increase endurance by as much as 24% and also improves aerobic and anaerobic power and performance[5][6]. The innovative formulation of Glycersize® ensures the stability and efficacy of the product, preventing the common issue of clumping found in traditional pre-workout supplements. It utilises a spray drying technology to yield this stable powder form of Glycerol.
Despite that, due to the giant dose of 4,000mg, your VASO-DIAL may still be slightly clumpy/have sandy texture if you don't mix it enough. Make sure you stir/shake frequently to ensure a smooth drink.
Betaine Anhydrous – 4,000mg
Betaine Anhydrous, also known as Trimethylglycine (TMG), is a versatile ingredient that serves dual roles as a methyl donor and an osmolyte, supporting both metabolic and hydration processes crucial for peak athletic performance.
Methyl Donor Function
Betaine plays a critical role in the methylation cycle by donating methyl groups, facilitating the regeneration of methionine from homocysteine. For some individuals, particularly those with a genetic predisposition or deficiencies in folate, B12, or creatine, betaine can help compensate for these nutrients, contributing to optimal metabolic function and cellular health. Additionally, its methyl donor capacity helps spare choline, further supporting overall cellular metabolism.
Osmolyte Activity
As an osmolyte, betaine assists in regulating fluid balance both inside and outside of cells. By inducing intracellular hyper-hydration, it enhances muscle cell volume, which can amplify the muscle "pump" during exercise. This osmotic effect not only contributes to better muscle fullness but also helps prevent dehydration, supporting endurance and recovery during rigorous training sessions.
Betaine supplementation has also been shown to increase power, endurance, muscle growth and fat loss. These effects may be not as significant as variables like training hard, dieting well, etc, but we included it mainly for its hyper-hydrating effect and synergy with Glycersize®.
Beta Alanine – 3,500mg
Beta Alanine is a well-researched amino acid that supports muscular endurance by increasing intramuscular carnosine levels, which buffer acid accumulation during high-intensity exercise. However, its use in pre-workout formulas is controversial for several reasons:

Chronic vs. Acute Dosing:
The performance benefits of Beta Alanine are not immediately apparent with a single, acute dose. Instead, its efficacy relies on the chronic supplementation required to saturate muscle carnosine stores—akin to the daily dosing necessary for creatine. Research suggests that only after reaching a cumulative threshold (approximately 179 grams over time) can users expect an approximate 2% improvement in endurance and performance[7].
Sensory Side Effects:
Beta Alanine is also known for causing a tingling sensation (paresthesia) in some individuals, which can be off-putting for users seeking a smooth, consistent pre-workout experience. This sensory effect has led us to exclude it from our NEUPHORIC formulation, aiming to create a daily-driver that avoids any unwanted tingling.
Why Include Beta Alanine in VASO-DIAL?
Given that VASO-DIAL is a non-stimulant pre-workout and does not deliver the typical "buzz" associated with stimulant-based products, we identified an opportunity to enhance its efficacy by including Beta Alanine. While its benefits require long-term saturation rather than an immediate boost, the inclusion of Beta Alanine in VASO-DIAL is designed to replace the caffeine ‘buzz’ feeling, keeping it a non-stimulant pre workout.
L-Tyrosine – 3,000mg
L-Tyrosine is essential for synthesizing critical neurotransmitters, promoting improved cognitive flexibility, mood, and concentration, particularly under conditions of stress or fatigue. Furthermore, a study with the use of 2,000mg L-Tyrosine provided results that it increases cognitive flexibility[8], so it can be useful outside of the gym too!
These effects occur because L-Tyrosine is a direct precursor to Thyroxine and to the neurotransmitters Dopamine, Epinephrine and Norepinephrine.

Why L-Tyrosine And Not N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine?
Great question! L-Tyrosine is the most bioavailable form of Tyrosine and N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine inefficiently converts into Tyrosine, even by an IV drip, and therefore doesn't elevate plasma Tyrosine levels to the same extent as L-Tyrosine.
Sodium Chloride 1250mg (500mg Sodium, 750mg Chloride)
Sodium chloride is essential for maintaining fluid balance, regulating cell volume, and supporting nerve and muscle function—vital components for achieving a powerful pump during workouts.
As a primary osmolyte, sodium regulates water movement across cell membranes through osmosis. When extracellular sodium levels are high, water is drawn out of cells, preventing overhydration; when levels are low, water enters cells, potentially causing swelling. This precise control is crucial for sustaining cellular integrity and optimal muscle function.
Inside the body, sodium is tightly regulated by the sodium-potassium pump (Na⁺/K⁺-ATPase), which actively transports sodium out of cells while importing potassium. This mechanism maintains a low intracellular sodium concentration and ensures effective cellular volume control.
In excitable tissues such as nerves and muscles, sodium influx through voltage-gated channels is responsible for generating action potentials—the electrical impulses necessary for nerve communication and muscle contraction. This process is fundamental for initiating the muscle contractions that produce a robust pump. Without adequate sodium, these electrical signals can weaken, leading to diminished muscle performance and a less impressive pump.
Additionally, sodium plays a role in balancing fluid levels around muscle cells. By modulating the osmotic gradient, it helps maintain optimal cell hydration and volume, further enhancing the vascular appearance and muscle fullness during exercise.

Black Pepper Extract – 10mg
The inclusion of Black Pepper Extract is strategic, enhancing the bioavailability and effectiveness of each ingredient within VASODIAL, ensuring maximum absorption and sustained impact of the supplement's potent components.
It achieves this by being a very effective CYP3A4 and P-glycoprotein inhibitor. Basically, these enzymes that it inhibits break down molecules in the body, so by inhibiting them it can prolong the effects of the increases.
In addition, as Black Pepper Extract is an MAO inhibitor, it is also believed to help manage and treat feelings of depression as well as other neurological illnesses due to MAO breaking down neurotransmitters like Dopamine, Serotonin and Norepinephrine. So, by inhibiting its activity, it can allow the effects of these neurotransmitters to be retained in the body.
Huperzine A – 400mcg
Huperzine A, by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase, elevates acetylcholine levels, thereby enhancing cognitive function and muscle contraction. This dual-action benefit is pivotal for ensuring optimal performance where mental and physical demands intersect.
It has been shown in studies to enhance memory, focus, overall cognitive function and learning performance[13][14][15].
Furthermore, despite acting on choline transmission, some evidence from a rodent model study has suggested that it may also influence levels of other neurotransmitters, such as Dopamine and Norepinephrine[16].
